Leukemia Cancer Treatment

Leukemia is among the most deadly, and common types of cancer around the world – especially in the US. Leukemia, is the cancer of the blood corpuscles – (in other words, the cells) - . In human body, there are three types of blonde cells found in the blood stream. They are the: leukocytes (white blood cells), erythrocytes (red blood cells), and the thrombocytes (blood platelets). It is in these blood cells that Leukemia develops. When leukemia happens, one of the counts of a certain blood cell (usually a white blood cell) increases dramatically. And this cell continues to increase as time passes. In fact, when observed under the microscope these abnormal cells affected by Leukemia, look different. This is why Leukemia is easily diagnosed.

In this scenario the body continues to produce these abnormal cells, which results in little space in which the normal, healthy cells are to grow and develop. It is this severe imbalance of blood cell count, that causes the symptoms of leukemia, and often leads to the Leukemia being diagnosed.
