Nolvadex

Persons who have breast cancer, which has spread to other parts, are administered Nolvadex. The drug when combined with other medicines is also prescribed for certain other types of cancer. The drug is also given for women who have high risk of breast cancer for those with DCIS to decrease the risk of developing cancer.

The drug can be taken with or without food. But you have to be careful not to chew, brake or crush Nolvadex while taking it; only swallow the drug. For the best results, the drug should have to be taken at the same time every day.

It is always better to tell your doctor about all your present and past health history so that he can take a decision whether the drug should be prescribed and what should be the dosage. Tell your doctor if you have allergies to any substance, food or any medicine. It is good to tell him if you have any history of blood clots, high levels of calcium, high cholesterol, week immune system and vision problems.
