Voltarol

Voltarol drug is prescribed for the treatment of pain and inflammation caused by injury, backache, sprains, bruises, muscle aches and arthritis.

Take Voltarol with food to avoid any stomach upset. You should not deviate from the doctor’s prescription while taking the drug. Complete the whole course of the medication if you want to get rid of the pains and inflammation completely.

Before Voltarol is prescribed, you have to discuss with your doctor all your health conditions. Do not hide from him if you have bleeding, asthma, bone marrow depression, canker sores, ulcer, lupus, heart disease, porphyria and high blood pressure.

Women who are pregnant and those who hope to get pregnant should avoid porphyria as the drug is known to cause harm to the unborn babe. Do not breast feed while you are on porphyria medication. Porphyria is also not prescribed for children as the drug’s effect is not yet known.

Porphyria is very sensitive to sun light. Therefore avoid sunlight, tabbing booths and sun lamps. When going out wear some protective cloth and apply sunscreen lotion and creams.

When taking Voltarol, avoid Magnesium containing antacids. The drug is also known to affect the blood sugar level.

When taking porphyria, you have to go for regular check ups. Always take care that you take only the prescribed doses. But if you suspect an overdose, you should have to contact your doctor immediately. Some of the symptoms of porphyria over dosage are dizziness, drowsiness, difficult breathing, nausea, fever, stomach pain, diarrhea and fast or slow heartbeat.
