Emulgel treats pain and inflammation due to injury, ligaments, strains, bruises, sprains, backache, muscle aches and arthritis.
How Taken
Emulgel should only be taken according to the doctor’s direction. Coming in gel form, it should be gently rubbed into the affected part of the skin.
Warnings/Precautions
Before Emulgel is prescribed, it is better to inform your doctor about all your medical conditions. You should have to tell him if you have any allergies to any medicine or to any ingredients in Emulgel.
Inform your doctor if you have canker sores, bleeding bone marrow depressions and destruction of tissues in intestine and stomach.
Pregnant women and those who hope to become pregnant soon have to avoid Emulgel as it can pose a threat to the unborn babe. As Emulgel is found in breast milk, breast feeding mothers should have to stop nursing their babes when applying the gel.
It is known that certain medicines interact with Emulgel. So it is better to inform your doctor about all the medications that you are taking before he prescribes the gel.
The drug is only for external use and should not be applied on diseased, broken or open wounds. Once the gel is applied, wash your hands thoroughly. Avoid any contact with the eyes and nose.
When the gel is applied, it is advised not to cover the parts with bandages or any other dressing material as it enhances the absorption of the drug into the body. Excessive exposure to sunlight should also be avoided as the gel may lead to sunburns.
Missed Dose
There is nothing to worry about the missed dosage. Just apply the Emulgen gel when you feel comfortable.
Overdose
If an overdose is suspected, contact your doctor immediately.
